Government is all about control. Don't have to know the root cause.
With an estimated 80 million gun owners and who know how many guns it seems obvious the problem is not in controlling an inanimate object.
Government and media have not even gotten close to the root cause. Everything is a quick fix. If it feels right it must be correct.
The root cause is anger. That can be dealt with. Some how with all the entitlement seems like more anger has been generated.
I had no fears to an invasion when I was in school. Some guys had ammo in there pockets and had been hunting before school. Bottom line - (learned growing up) you are responsible. It's your life. While you can blame things on someone else it is still your actions.

I hear ya. What is going on is that antifa and other groups are well organized, well funded, and dedicated. They know politicians and law enforcement would rather watch the "show" in some sort of imaginary "controlled" environment than to confront them and "provoke an even worse situation"

Dusty I agree! 375 police officers on scene. It took 4 border patrol swat to take the insensitive to get the job done. I heard that some of the parents had guns and they asked for a vest, they would go in there, but the police would not let them.

Right on, and incidental to his bravery he just did as much for the cause of 2A and right to carry as the SC and NRA combined. Pretty often someone defends their property and family at home, but it’s extremely rare that an active shooter crosses paths with a non-security, carrying citizen that bucks up and does what concealed carry in public was implemented to do.
