MEC Press on sub calibers

Prose

Silver $$ Contributor
I've been thinking about a new press and the MEC really interests me. The question that I keep thinking about is the performance of the "floating shell holder" on the 17 and 20 calibers that I load for. Will the small necks cause issues with finding center?

Can't speak to the MEC Press although it looks like a nice rig. I've been using the "Floating Shell Holder" method on all my presses for several years. MEC just chose to make it a selling point for it's new press, although the method has been in existence for years and years. Really simple to convert any press from a "fixed" shell holder system to a "floating" one. And although the smallest caliber I reload for is .223/5.56, the shell holder has no problem centering itself as when pressure is applied to the shell holder, as it moves freely and has no problem centering itself WITHOUT causing any damage or issue to the casings being worked.
