Measuring TIR with the Forster Concentricity Gauge

I've been reading about gauging TIR with the various gauges--Sinclair, 21st Century, etc.--and am wondering whether the less-expensive Forster gauge is precise enough for the job (just measuring bullet runout).

Will it do the job adequately, or should I bite the bullet and spend more?

Also have, for a while now, the Forster as pictured above.
The Forster does a good job but you must pay attention to the fine adjustments.
The Sinclair is, at least for me, much more difficult to get consistent reading with.

I don't care for the gauges that index off the base of the cartridge as the base of a cartridge is often not square to the case body, shoulder or neck's axis and it's the alignment with the case body that I find a better thing to get the axis of the shoulder lined up with the bullet's axis. So, I use the Sinclair gauge and have zero difficulty in getting consistent readings.

I have the gauge pictured as well as the RCBS. The Forster always measures significantly less runout, I assume because it is supported by the bullet as opposed to the case on the RCBS. Until I learn something that changes my mind I will stick with a gauge like the RCBS or Sinclair as opposed to the Forster and Hornady styles.
