Measuring TIR on chambers

Read and heard about this when doing a chamber. But I really don't know how or what to measure. Let's hear it from the Pros.

Generally if you take a reading with a good indicator that will read to at least .0001
at the front of the chamber and another reading about 1 1/2" into the chamber you will be able to see if it's straight or not.. Both ends need to be indicated with rods first so you know that your 100% dead nuts on the bore...

Thanks Preacher, what do you like to see. Just did a .243 w/.0002 front and back. how's that.

did any one can help me inform the reference book, for analyze the projectile move along the barrel, i need it for trying design barrel long rifle as task from my professor to take degree, thanks for helping.
