There are certainly fancier ones. Mine is a Fowler. But honestly, they are all Chinese.

These very inexpensive Micrometers just showed up on Amazon. I might get one and try it. I bet it would work great, and you could always return it if it doesn't.

I just want to reiterate my point of investing in one of these tools. If you can make ammunition to one thou tolerances you can measure headspace to the same tolerance.

If you can measure headspace, and you are just a hater of the barrel nut, then you can order a barrel with a shoulder on any action, and never ship anything to anyone.

I really cannot stress the power of doing this...

I have been using this gauge for a year or so now. Mostly on primer pockets and bullet lengths.

Works "good enough " for me on those tasks. I also have a digital ball mic of same brand, seems ok.

The Vevor brand is a lot like HF from back in the day. Some good... some not so good. One thing about Vevor I will say. Even with poor communication (Chinglish) they will try to make a problem right.
