Yesterday was our first official BJC for MCSA. I do believe it was a success. Everyone seemed to have fun. Lots of people thanked our helpers and myself for putting it on. I would like to thank the helpers for their efforts because without them it would not happen. So thanks guys. Also thanks to the cook and his helper.

There were 29 rifles yesterday. Winners using the Lewis Scoring System are Matt Diffenderfer and Mike Redin were 1st and 2nd in A class and Josh Diffenderfer and Dustin Ramberger were 1st and 2nd in B class. Congrats on a job well done in some pretty terrible conditions.

The equipment malfunction with the targets will be fixed for the last match of the year. I told the range crew today to go up and save the rock so we can put it behind the targets for the next match so Mike doesn't get up set. I know how much he enjoyed the extra challenge. I know from yesterdays experience that certain people will line up their own rest and rifle from now on to cut down on the sabotage! I now know even as match director you do not get any points for shooting the wrong set of swingers!!!

As far as the weather goes I would like to let everyone know that I had ordered warmer weather with light variable breeze. Some where along the line it was ordered up with cold temps. and variable gale force winds with some sunshine. I will put the order in earlier for the next one and be more specific.

Hope to see all of you at the next GHS on April 25. Hopefully we will see some of the new shooters this summer at other matches.

Thanks
Jesse

A rock? Well Mike, he put steel posts in front my targets one time and then laughed at me. You and I will get together and teach Jesse about paybacks, lol. Good shooting to all who braved the chilly , windy day.
Purely by accident Jeff purely by accident!!! I believe I did beat you that match though!

Tough conditions for sure and maybe an understatement. I think the wind may have been the worst I have ever shot in at Mifflin. Blackjack challenge gave you basically 12 shots in 2 minutes so there was no waiting on conditions. Start with 10+ mph winds that would switch 180, drop off to nothing, or gust to 30 all within that 2 minute period sure made for an interesting event. Seemed like everyone had a good time and allot of fun shooting a totally different event even in the conditions. I think in general the club saw what worked and what might be able to be done to speed things along on the next shoot in October.
