McMillan has a new rimfire stock, very similar to the Anschutz MPR,multi-purpose rifle) profile. Long, beavertail forend with a moderately high comb--ambidextrous. I've shot the MPR, and it is a good jack-of-all-trades design. The Anschutz comes with an accessory rail so you can fit a 3" wide plate for max stability. But it is pretty stable on the bags, and the comb is high enough for off-hand,standing) shooting. I would like to see a little less drop in the rear of the stock, but I think they did that to enhance its silhouette performance.
