Mcmillan MBR finish

I ordered a red white and blue MBR from McMillan a couple of weeks ago. Do you need to sand the stock to bring out the dull colors. How did you finish yours?

wetsand down to 400grit and give it a few coats of auto clearcoat

Did you apply the clearcoat yourself or have a paint and body shop do it.

There are some Vo-tech schools around that offer automotive body/fender/painting as part of their curriculum. If you can find one of those they'd do it for next to nothing. That goes for stock painting also.
