McMillan Hunter Bench Rest Class for varmint stock?

Anyone ever build a varmint gun on one of these? Another option for me is McM's Nesika Bay Varmint. The gun will weigh ~12 lbs and wear a 56mm obj scope.

I shoot off an X shaped front bag and rabbit ear rear on a swivelling table.

Thx

I used the McM Nesika Bay Varmint stock for my custom .257 Wby build. Love that stock!!

Looks like McM have changed the Nesika Bay Varmint since your purchase Bear. They added a raised comb so it would work better with large scopes.

I like the looks of the Hunter class benchrest better but wonder if it offers enough cheek support. I do lots of looking through the scope when I'm after PD's, swiveling the table back and forth to scan the dog town so I'm on the stock quite a bit.
I'll also use this gun to play with from the bench so performance there is important too.

Nomo4me,

I had a McM hunter stock. I like the 2.25" flat on the stock. It work great off the bench and in the field with bi-pods.

Bear I like that color combo but it's a bit hard to judge hues via the monitor.

Do you recall what the colors were, and rough % of each?

I really don't remember the %. It was about 6 or 7 years ago (while living in Scottsdale) and I remember going by their facility to pick up a catalog. This stock was featured on the cover. I just called them and said "I want the one on the cover". :)
WOW!! Surprised I remember that much. It's fad'n fast!!
