McMillan A5 stock adjustable butt ?

troupe

Gold $$ Contributor
I have a McMillan A5 with the factory option 3 way adjustable butt pad and the adj. cheek rest. I was wondering if I could get the spacer system offered by McMillan and replace the heavy aluminium with the spacer system only for the weight loss I don't know if they would have to be fitted. I would like to use the A-5, but loose the weight in the adj. butt stock and maybe loose some weight in the cheek rest as well. Probably be better to move the stock and get something lighter.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks for the reply back Max. Any idea how much weight I would loose by switching.

The 3-Way hardware weighs about 21 oz with a pad and the spacer system weighs about 7 oz with a pad. So quite a decent chunk of weight can be dropped by switching.

Any idea on the cost to switch it out and ship back to NC, 27858. I would be willing to trade the 3 way out for the work if that would be possible.

Thanks again for the reply back.
