McCabe offers gun purchase recommendations

That gun sales between individuals can occur in private, without background check being run on prospective buyer.

Said to go on frequently in parking lots at gun shows though I doubt there’s any reliable statistic about that.

Puts responsibility of transfer onto seller for following state and federal laws that apply to this kind of activity.

That individual, private citizen sellers aren’t currently allowed to access the NICS system doesn’t seem to affect the antis’ thinking much.

Making every transfer activity subject to NICS check is what “closing the loophole” amounts to. De facto registration in other words, in direct contradiction to “...shall not be infringed.)

Also, private gun owners can set up tables at those gun shows and sell as well. Which is no different than an individual selling to another individual privately.

That is an accurate description of what the dems seek. Also some want to extend the BGC to family transfers, inherited firearms and loans of firearms to family or friends. The fees will most likely increase at gunshops that do transfers, unless individuals are granted access to the NISC system. Bottom line, none of it is good news and most likely won`t solve the problem.

Why give up Any Rights?
Who has what to gain?
It will not save even one life, as the unintelligent are being frightened into believing.
Shooting deaths are way down the list of cause of death, much like plane crashes, but when one happens anywhere, the whole world hears about it. *Hears about it when it fits the narrative, unless it's "the norm", in a dumocrap run city.
Election season is upon us. Pay attention to all the up coming gun violence, to help push their run on so called gun control. They need Something to run on, because they have Nothing Else...

I read an article recently that suggested Pres. Trump sign expanded background checks in exchange for nationwide reciprocal CCW. That's an intriguing premise.
As to the OP, I will never trust anything a dim says, and as was stated we don't need more laws, especially at this time when dims are under pressure to use these tragedies to promote people control.
Just a little while longer and RBG will be gone...now that's something to look forward to.

It’s pretty obvious most commenters didn’t read and or understand the article. In any case these suggestions will look pretty tame compared to what’s possibly coming down the pike in early 2021.

In the end all that will be accomplished is the fact that they are going to make criminals out of law abiding citizens. They keep nickel and dimeing us. How long do they think they can push people till someone or a group with little to loose does go over the “edge”. do they not have the history channel??
For that matter they have even ruined the history channel lol.

Which is exactly why they are able to keep chipping away at what we have now.... everyone wants to pick the lesser of 2 evils, which is still evil.
Yeah, in a democracy we, luckily, get to pick the lesser of two evils. In this case, the more evil choice is going to be chopping not chipping.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Awards to Ebb, Fyrewall & Spclark.......Perspective award to JimT. The article specifically addresses length of waiting period allowed for NICS checks and redefinition of prohibited person. In many cases these revisions are handled at the administrative agency level subject to public comment /input. Trump could easily extend the NICS check maximum waiting period which "should" theoretically only inconvenience a small subset of eligible purchases. Of course, who's to say the FBI won't apply the extended NICS review period to everyone. The redefinition of prohibited person is much trickier as several have noted. Thx

Thank you for helping me fill out my ignore list so much easier.

Some well thought out remarks here! But the bottom line is the "perps" are not going to obay the law.... any law. All the laws passed have not stopped a single incident. We know that and the "left" knows that. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."
