Mc Millan Edge stock

I had one on my 13.5 pound HV 6PPC I used for score benchrest. It was super light,23 ounces). I had to put a tungsten rod in the butt to add another 12 ounces to keep it balanced with a 25.5 inch barrel, a lead rod would give you nine ounces, the McMillan weight system only six. It did ride the bags well, but seemed a little dead if you can understand what I mean. Perhaps the fiberglass HV variant would work better if a weight limit isn't a concern.
On my 6BR which weighs 16.5 pounds I use the old style fiberglass McMillan benchrest stock, and quite frankly like it better.
Another choice would be the Tooley MBR.

Hello,
Maby a want to buy this stock for a Nesika classic action,i have a Tooley on my other action.

At one time you could order a HV version of the EDGE that was cheaper because the heavier weight limit allows the use of less expensive fiberglass instead of carbon fiber. You didn't say what weight you are building your rifle to but if it is to be heavier than 10 1/2# this might be an option. I have talked to some very good shooters that are of the opinion that if one has the option, a rifle that is originally built as a HV with a stock that has the additional weight distributed rather than concentrated in a weight system, except for minor amounts used for balance) is likely to perform better than a LV or Sporter with a weight system to convert it to HV. I have an EDGE prototype, and it tracks very well. I have heard from one or more of the better benchrest gunsmiths that they are very straight.

I have two. Built a 1000yd light gun with one of them. I won heavy gun high score in my very first match. NesikaK 1.47 action, Kreiger #17 hv barrel,Vais break and US Optics SN3 3.8X22 . It weighs in at 16 lbs 6oz. Going to add a aluminum rail to buttstock so it will be level with forarm[about 4oz]
The other with a remmy action and fluted #17 in 6AI. A 13 yr old girl who never shot at a thouand could easily hold X's and 10's shooting prone. Not much wind, but that tells me alot as to how well it tracks.
