May be a dumb question

Don't have a lot of knowledge as far as what mils are and what a 1/1o mil increment equates to in inches. I get obviously 1/4" clicks, and 1/8" clicks and I just heard about the 1/10 mil click on rifle scopes. Let me know if ya know. Thxs

Not a dumb question, just something you don't know.

There are 21,600 minutes in a complete circle. One "Minute Of Angle" is therefore 1/60 of a degree or ~1.05" at 100 yards.

There are 6283.2 milliradians (1/1000 radian) in a complete circle.

There are ~3.44 MOA per milliradian or ~3.6 inches per milliradian at 100 yards.

If your scope adjusts in .1 milliradian increments, it will change point of impact ~.36" per click at 100 yards.

I hope this helps.
