May American Rifleman Notice

On page 13 of my American Rifleman was a short note from Wayne LaPierre stating among other things to expect a letter from him detailing changes he has been forced to make in operations at the NRA due to COVID-19. I haven't received any letter from the NRA in several months. Anyone else have any information on this?

I haven't received the letter either and was wondering what is up. Perhaps someone at the top is beginning to get the message that members are not very happy with the way things are there.

Yea, NRA just simply don't strike me to be nowhere near as well as I believed it was years ago. Hope I'm wrong but I quit giving them my $$$ awhile back. Every time u turn around they begging for another contribution and personally I don't think it's going where it's supposed to.

May as well give it to me- i got just about as much pull as the other orgs

Beat me to it by one post. Answer: me. :)

Seriously I get daily emails, sometimes two or three a day begging for Mo Money. Yet I have never seen them organize in my state to stop the encroachment on my rights as a firearms owner. I am a member and I will maintain that due to them being the keeper of record for competition but they need much better management and they won't get more money from me until I see action.

That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. All talk and no action for the most part.

  • The NRA has ticked me off many times over the decades, I don't like what is going on with them right now but the are the 500 pound gorilla in the room when it comes to politics and as a consequence I am supporting them. GOA, SAF and other pro-gun organizations are good but they do not have anywhere near the clout with politicians as the NRA. Think about this when have you ever heard a politician or the news media mention any pro-gun organization other than the NRA. Hopefully we can support them all and they will in turn support us, I would love to see them all have as much influence as the NRA.

Can't believe that, if you're a NRA member, you don't already know. I've been getting emails everyday, sometimes three times a day, begging me to send money to save the NRA. I replied by telling them I would catch up my usual quarterly donations as soon as Wayne tendered his resignation. Of course, they are too busy sending me requests for donations to respond to that one.
There are so many battles to fight but the internal battle at NRA is making others, even the huge one in their own backyard of Virginia, go unattended. GOA, RKBA and SAF are in the fight. So is VCDL and, even though I don't live in VA, that is where I am currently donating.
