Im wondering what max weight and length that would be recomended to hang off of a savage repeater long action,rum action). Im planning for new barrel and dont want to over do it. Im thinking of a #7 or #18 barrel 30" long possibly fluted to reduce weight a tad. would 6.5 to 7# and 30" be to much?
