Mauser action, stock, and barrel

Friend of mine has came across a Mauser action, barrel, and a nice unfinished wood stock. Looking for price help on this, he has no use for it, and neither do I. He got it from a buy out of reloading equipment in a bundle.

This is what I know...

Unknown stock, but looks to be walnut with brass butt plate, the stock has Been inletted for the action, but barrel channel is unfinished. Looks like it will finish out and be a fine stock. If I had a use for it I would keep the stock.

Action has bolt, which needs handle modified to use scope on. No trigger, but has bottom metal and internal mag box.

Barrel is a ERShaw, looks like it was chamber for the action and is stamped 22-250. unknown Smith cut the chamber and unknown twist. I would say barrel profile is heavy varmint. It does has surface rust on the outside of the barrel. From what I can tell, the barrel has been unfired and rifling looks clean ( have not run a bore scope through it).

I have no idea of the value of all of this. Any guesses? At this point he just wants to sale it.

No idea without alot more information.

Stock with brass? buttplate not fully inlet, bolt handle not done, Shaw barrel. I wouldn't pay more than $300- $350 for it.

Model # is FN action, ser # R01610. Pics attached

Not too long ago you could buy a rifle like that finished for $275-$400 In the local gun shops and shows. Resale value is poor. Pay accordingly.

IMO with old milsurps, 300-350 tops for the right buyer, average bubba might pay 200-250 and sell it for 500+ depending on what he thinks of himself.

Looks as if the rear receiver bridge was opened ? Stripper Clip Guide removed!
Straight Bolt Handle would most likely be Military?

Commercial receiver with a military bolt and bottom metal. There's a lot of 98's out there with mixed parts. Nice wood.

It does have nice wood on it! If I could use the stock I would keep it. Just looking for a far price. Not looking to make money, looking to move it to some one who can use it and finish it.

Have no idea about the rear receiver bridge. Didnt know it had a stripper clip guide. Agian, just trying to help someone move this. Open to all offers! Low ball it and it will sale. I really like the stock, wish I could use it on a rem 700.
