Mauser Action marking

A proof marking from the mfg. quite common in Mausers civilian or military. And what is likely a inspection marking, for who knows.
Can't be of much help in identifying the receiver, without the rest of the marks either on top of the receiver or along the side.
I know CZ used to use a number and a z in a circle in the same position as a proof mark on they're M98s.
Different german military mausers all have/had them in different shapes etc.
Look up mauser proof marks on google and look at pics if you find a similar.
Or give us the rest of the markings and that triangle with the 'I' shape in will match with the mfg.
I'm no expert in Mausers,

There are no other markings on the barrel or the action. The only proof marking on line that I saw is a triangle with an arrow inside.

Those look like random factory inspection marks. Unfortunately, it won't tell you much about the origins of the Mauser.

Good eye . British then , not because of the possibility of it being an arrow , but the proof mark , upside down that looks like a birds beak

yup , century international arms made hundreds in many cal including 300 win mag , 7 mm rem mag and possibly 338 win mag . Most were just rechambered to 300 win mag or left in original cal . Need bolt face pic

30-06 bolt face but I suggest checking the chamber with cerrosafe or alternate. The bolts are easily replaced and it could be almost any chambering .
Does the ser num match the receiver?
