Mauser 98 bolt safety

Need a competent smith to install a safety on my bolt. any in Ohio or nearby states?

what is the issue? It is a straight foward install , is it a factory military safety or low scope style . Either way I could walk you through it .

Ggmac thanks for the generous offer. i'll try to explain my problem. have the original shroud removed along with what I think was a replacement safety(no markings but was thought to be a Bueller?) safety tab held in place with a screw. It never worked. I also have a safety marked MarkII that will fit in the original shroud but not in the replacement shroud installed on the bolt. any help would be welcome.

You must remove the cocking piece , it rotates 90* . Install safety then cocking piece . Firing pin must also be out , forgot to mention that .
If the safety doesnt fit in the hole then something is wrong with the replacement shroud , why are you replacing the shroud ? Is it because the original was cut ?

Where does the mk 2 safety have interference? Hole ? Before we go any further, is your replacement shroud a military or commercial military ( fn , mkx , santa barber , parker hale ) or recent reproduction. Can you post or email some pics ? My email is ggmac5@aol.com
