Matrix Ballistics 165 grain .277 vld, has anyone?

Has anyone played around with these bullets? with an advertised bc of .7381 it would seem they would have great potential for longrange cartridge in the .270 world.

Haven't used them but think the .270 is one of the most under-rated cartridges for long range shooting/hunting.

I been reading a few post about these, i've never tried them,but heard good reviews. Some say you need a better twist than 1:10 to work correctly.

Marshal makes a great bullet! I have been using the 175gr .277 vld bullets he makes and they shoot great! I have a 1-8 twist 6.8-284!

Out of interest what velocity do you get with your 6.8x284? Also what do you think the the real BC is with these bullets?

I have Marshals 190s in 7mm and will be working on them shortly, he has sent some sample 175's to try, just need an appropriate barrel.

I have not been pushing them very hard yet, right around 2700 fps! I am not sure what the real bc is on them but the way they feel in the wind when shooting them I would guess they would come in around .680 to .700 range! Nice bullet they have been grouping well from 100y out to 600y. I have not shot them at 1000y yet so i can't give MOA drop for BC!
