MATCH SCORING AND PROCEDURE

Would someone please post a link, a response, or email me,boesej80@homtail.com) a 600 yd. F-class match protocol. I'd like to know about scoring, total rounds fired, sighters, target size, small group, etc.
Thanks in advance,
Justin

F-Class uses the same scoring procedure as NRA highpower. No group size measurement, it's all for score.

Targets depend on the match director. A few, more active) ranges are going to smaller ones than highpower uses at the same distance, though smaller clubs use the same ones.

You usually shoot 1-4 strings of 15 or 20 rounds, which does not include sighters. Depending on the match, you might have 2 sighters, or an unlimited number. Best thing to do to figure out round count is contact the match director, then add 5-10 rounds on top of that.

You might check out the "Articles" page at http://www.mohighpower.com/ The article at http://www.sierrabullets.com/index.cfm?section=competitions&page=competitions&competitionID=4 is also pretty good.

Couple other places to look around for info would be:

www.usfclass.com

www.long-range.com

Lots of stuff to read up on. Should keep ya busy for a while ;)

HTH,

Monte

The Illinois Highpower page has a few good articles about highpower procedures at: http://www.illinoishighpower.org/general_highpower_info/about_highpower.htm
