Match Results Western Colorado 600 yard IBS Match Jan 11th

The forecasted cold temperatures were a bit intimidating and kept most shooters at home. The temperature in the morning while we were setting up was in the high teens with very little wind. When the sun popped up over the Grand Mesa, it warmed up quickly (low 30's) and the winds remained very calm..... we were hopeful. By about 10:30 a fairly thick cloud layer blocked out any chance for solar warming....temps started dropping and by 11:30 the temperature was 25*F, still very light winds.
For the 6 hearty souls who attended the match, we had a great time. I will admit the sweet rolls we provide at our matches got a bit cold sitting on the sign in tables.

Roger Hightower won the "Closest to the X contest...... Great shooting Roger!

We alternate between starting the match with HG or LG, this month we started the day with heavy gun.
Heavy-gun highlights
David Gosnell shot the highest score with a 50-3X
Smallest group shot was a 1.194" shot by Clay Fowler. However there were several small groups shot, Timothy Barber shot a 1.515" and David Gosnell shot a 1.583" group.

Light-gun highlights
Jerry Bush shot the highest score with a 49-3X, followed by a 49-2X.
Timothy Barber also shot a 49-2X.
Smallest group shot was a 1.481" shot by Clay Fowler, Jerry Bush shot a 1.502" group.

Fantastic shooting gentlemen!

Special thanks to Sheila Barber for helping in the score shack and photography.

Heck yer not that far away either.

I have shot F-class at Spokane a few times, 1 day push. It’s a couple of hours shorter to head down through the Tri-cities than Hwy 90, both are nice.
