Match grade hunter profile 10/22 barrels

Looking to upgrade a 10/22 that gets shot off hand for pest control, who makes a really nice barrel that isn't a bull barrel?

Green Mountain makes a very good 10-22 sporter barrel. Don't own one, but the people who do seem happy with the accuracy.

Shilen makes a drop-in in 3 different contours. Standard, Varmint, Cylinder.
I have a Varmint on a Volquartsen and am very happy with it.

Feddersen. I have their 16" sporter and 17" heavy taper, both shoot lights out. I have a couple Green Mountains as well and they're not really noticeably better than factory Ruger barrels.

I've also got a Shilen 22" varmint profile that I'm very pleased with, but it's bigger, heavier, and considerably more expensive than the Feddersens.

Those that have the Shilen with the Bentz chamber, are you able to fire CCI mini mags and the like? Not CCI stingers or other more "hyper" ammo. Just regular super sonic stuff 36gr around 1235 fps.

Yep, Mini Mags work great. I mostly shoot CCI Standard Velocity in mine.

Yes, they will shoot regular HV ammo. Midway has a SS factory contour 20" Shilen barrel in stock. They also have the SS 22" Varmint contour in stock.

Problem is I am not seeing a threaded muzzle which is a deal breaker for me.

YUP,. I Own one, a 20 inch, SS, "Sporter" weight, Green Mtn and IT, "Shoots" 5 shots into, sub 1/2 MOA at, 50 yds with, most Mid Priced, Wolf Match or SK Standard Plus Ammo with Group's in, the 3's / 4's NOT uncommon.
With the Rifle Rested over a Rock, I popped a Sage Rat at, 85 yards ( Ranged ) with some Older, ( Mid 1990's ) Win HP's that run, 1280 FPS and shoot, very well.
CCI Mini Mag HP's and the Win HP's shoot about, 1/2 to 5/8th inch group's at, 50 yds.
I'd highly recommend, the Green Mtn Barrels ! They HAVE Bentz Chambers and I had to, Polish mine, w/ JB's a Little bit,.. to Extract, Live rounds.
