Massless brake changes

Got my new 300WM shooting 1/2 MOA at 100 and looking to put a muzzle brake on it. What should I expect in changes in group and/or POI?

With a rifle that shoots small groups such a yours, the tune may be affected because of the weight added at the end of the barrel. This is more of an issue with sporter barrel profiles, and less of a problem with heavier target/varmint/benchrest barrels; the heavier profile are much stiffer. Using a lightweight brake (titanium for example) will have a smaller effect. You may actually benefit from a heavier brake because it acts like a tuner. Another benefit is the reduction in pressure at the exit, which may reduce bullet upset at the muzzle; however, a brake that isn't perfectly coaxial with the bore may increase upset. As you can see, there are many effects at work so it is difficult to predict the result in advance.

When you have it fitted, use the same bullets, seating depth, primers etc, BUT try some loads 0.5 and 0.2gns heavier and lighter powder charge than you are running now to see which load it prefers with the modified harmonics with the weight of the brake.

I screwed a Gama 6.5 brake on my creedmoor couple weeks ago.
Group measures low .2's, poi shifted up 4".
No shift right or left just 4" high
