Marsh Action firing pin spring replacement advice or source

Hi guys, looking for a spec on firing pin spring length/weight or source for a Marsh Saguaro action. Original works fine but will want a replacement at next barrel change. Gun was bought used.

I think Marsh features the same Remington Style Firing Pin/Shroud assembly as a Panda.

I would just buy a spring for a Panda and custom fit it for the desired static spring pressure.

I believe the action and the bolt are something like an 1" shorter than a std Panda so I'd think the springs were shorter as well.

Cutting down a spring will increase its rate. You might have to start with a lighter spring rate. Also when cutting, the last wrap needs to be bent and ground flat matching the original end. If you do not finish the end properly you’ll add a bunch of pin drag.

Something else to think about and look for: If an end of a spring is not aligning properly drag will be worse if that end is installed at the back of the pin (shroud end) rather than the front of the pin.

Important. Any time you trim a spring, install the cut end against the abutment on the firing pin.

Should work.

The only way to tell is install one and see if you get the desired static pressure.
