Marlin S7VH in 223 - Twist Rate? Any other owners

Local FFL advised he picked up a new in the box Marlin S7VH in 223. 26" varmint profile barrel, fluted bolt, adjustable accu style trigger, and one piece picatinny style rail.

Anybody else have experience with this model? Twist rate?

I THINK THOSE ARE 1/12 TWIST BUT I'M GOING TO SET ONE FOR A BUDDY OF MINE VERY SOON.

My X7VH is a 1/9, I checked before I bought mine. The last thing I needed was another 1/12 or 1/14 223.

They may have made the sporter barrels in other twists, but all of the X7VH's I've had experience with, were 1/9

Thanks to everybody for the info!!

acloco, bought a fellow range members Marlin 223 heavy barrel a couple of months ago. He wanted a shorter barrel .223. Twist should be 1/9. FWIW, my Marlin .223 is quite accurate. Not unusual for me to shoot a 3 shot 100 yd 3/8" group with it.

Thanks everybody for the info.

I purchased the rifle, too good of deal to pass up....as all of you know how that happens!

Chamber is definitely towards the minimum SAAMI spec and the bore is tight, but, neither is not necessarily a bad thing.

Rifle shot ok off of bipod and rear bag. Stock is definitely in contact at the forearm - need to remedy that.

Barrel cleaned ok, some copper, but do be expected on a new barrel.

CHECK THE TWIST AND LET ME KNOW PLEASE BECAUSE I'M GOING TO BE SETTING ONE OF THESE RIFLES FOR ONE OF MY CUSTOMER VERY SOON AND THAT WILL GIVE ME IDEAL ON WHAT GRAIN BULLETS TO USE I'VE NEVER HAVE TINKERED WITH A MARLIN CR
