I've looked at the hornady match grade 338 lap mag fl bushing die set but it has a built in rolling crimp. Not sure I want that...
I've never used hornady kit before apart from the comparator..
So say crimp is for mag fed because of the recoil. I was thinking hornady as they have the add on stem for seating the ELDM's.

I watched several more of there video's where they used the 375 cheytac out to nearly 4400yds

I have watched several videos that test Long Range scopes. Scope manufacturers send them scopes to test. I believe I saw the March Genesis tested a while back.

While I know nothing of the elr game I do know 1k and 2k shooting on paper , I like his videos but wish that he would show his load development on paper to see what kind of groups these things shoot, I have been tuning my 338 Papua ai for this up comig 2k shoot in Townsend and you can definitely see things chang with load development. I guess I'm just curious as usual.thanks cody finch

He’s got a certain approach that I’ve gleaned from several videos. Mark finds a pressure level for a bulletin where the brass and bolt interact perfectly. Meaning by that no brass smear, abuse, or undue stretching at the high end, while leaving no untapped performance that a smaller cartridge could deliver on the low end.

Then he focuses on the mechanics of the gun to make it shoot that load its best. Things like stock rigidity, managed barrel harmonics and recoil performance in the two rests come into play.

There a new theme to explore ELR chamberings on request, with supporters getting some additional and specific developmental and performance feedback, but as mentioned, yes there isn’t much discussion about things like ladder tests or nodes, but I have heard in several videos that centerfire rifles must shoot inside a fraction of a 1/2 moa target at distance, for example, in order to be able to hit it with any predictability.

Watching the videos of conventional calibers, say 6.5mm to Magnum 30’s I’ve gotten the impression that these rifles on their channel would group better than typical, custom PRS guns, and a little looser than heavier built F-class rifles, if they were all tested at 100-300. However the wind calling at extreme distance is what is so impressive to me.

I have watch for a few years. Sam sitting on that bull bag spotting just makes me hurt. Those folks can really shoot though, both of them.
