Marine-tex bedding release agent

I use some mold release wax that I used on fiberglass molds. I'm sure kiwi works fine but I'd rather have something that's tailored to the job. Meguiars #8 is like $10

I have a 308 that I just got my Marine-Tex and I was just going to use my Brownell's release spray will this work ok or should I use something different? I really don't want to glue this thing in the stock. Later,

Kirk

I used the Brownells spay on release agent for years till I got tired of paying the price, plus shipping for it... Kiwi has never posed a problem for me since then...

I too have used the Kiwi shoe polish and it worked great. I just put a thin coat on, let it dry and buffed it smooth.

I've been using the Brownell's mainly since it's simple to put on and I don't miss places, thanks fella's! Later,

Kirk

Valspar 225. Hrd to find and expensive but well worth it. I used Brownell's TFE on my M14 bedding project and it failed miserably. Half my bedding ripped out and took some wood with it, and that was with 3 coats applied. Granted, the M14 is probably the most difficult platform to bed, so because of that, I learned my lesson the hard way.

I've used pam, kiwi wax, and the release agent I got in the Miles Gilbert Bedrock Kit. All have worked well for me. I also switched epoxy over too the devcon plastic steel bedding. I won't use anything else, that stuff is perfect.

I have used Mothers Liquid Carnuba wax on my bedding jobs and it works great (and it's cheap).

Brush it on, buff it off when dry and you have almost .000 tolerance between your bedding and the bedded parts.
