March Scope 80x

I have the March 10x60 tactical scope and love it. Looking at buying another one in the 80x. Any one had any experiance with one? Likes? Dislikes?

I bought an 8 x 80 this spring. Excellent to a little over 50 x. After that it gets noticeably fuzzy and after about 60 it keeps getting darker as well. Would not recommend buying one as you say you have a 60x. Mine is used strictly for F-Class, not benchrest for what that is worth.

I bought one last September and have used it all season on my 6.5X47 at GH matches and LR matches. I second Chips post but to my eye anything over 60 power gets pretty dark in a hurry. I usually leave it on 60 power for 300 yards and over and have no problem seeing holes at 600 yards. If I were to buy another March I would look strongly at the 10-60. Outstanding optics! Some people are scared off by the warranty, or lack thereof, but i feel as long as Kelbly's is around, you will have no problem whatsoever with warranty service if needed.

Thanks for the info. I am pretty much convinced to buy another 60 power. I have all the high dollar european scopes but March is my favorite. Increably clear.

I have the March 10-60 tactical with the MTR-1 reticle and couldn't be more happier. I shoot F-TR and the March is a big improvent over the NF NXS I was using the last few years. I usually shoot at 40x, but have gone as high as 60x with good results. I wouldn't go with the 8-80 unless you are a benchrest shooter. The higher magnification could be a little too sensitive for prone shooting from a bipod.
