March Highmaster

@Shiraz

What's driving the cost difference between the MAR1078 $2762.50 vs the MAR1080 $3310.75..? Is it only the reticle difference driving the price or another feature/features?
The MTR 1,3, & 4 reticle has always been a lot more expensive than just the fine crosshair and dot reticles.

Yes I know that. As most optic manufacturers are. I had a March 8-80 with an enhanced reticle. $548 is a significant difference. Perhaps the ~20% add is appropriate? Just curious

Especially since I think it is done with a program with a laser that etches it. Matt

I checked the costs on both models. It seems that we priced the other reticles lower than they should have been.

Rather than raise the prices on those models, I am reducing the list prices of the MAR1080, 81 and 82 to $3750.00 from $3895.00. This makes them around $3187.50 at the 15% off sale price. The price for LEO and Vets is lower still. Thanks.

I'm shooting the new 48x and it is unbelievable. I'm on my way to the super shoot where I'll be shooting at the range all of may. I'll also be shooting a new 40x60 march and can't wait to use them in some mirage.

I just bought one March 10-60X56 HM and one 8-80X56. My first choice was the 10-60X56, with 3/32 dot, but they dont have any in stock, so I choose one with 1/8 dot. Hope I dont regret my choice, as will be used for Fclass. Will the 1/8 dot be too big?

I shot a match today with my new 48X and it is brighter like I said before, but all the hype about cutting thru the mirage is just that, HYPE. There was PLENTY of the stuff at the range today considering it was 35 degrees when I got there and ended up in low 60's. It didn't do any better or any worse than my other 5 Marches as far as mirage goes. If I had to give it an overall rating from one to ten, I'd give it a 7.

No, That is all Point blank stuff, at a 1000 yds. an 1 1/8 " is big ? I got floaters bigger..... I think they measure them at 40 power. When the mirage is running it may help you........ Jim

Did your scope come with a MD disk? If so did you try it in the mirage? I just got my 10-60 high master and it came with one. Increased size of objective and give you a MD disc to decrease light? Manual states it's helps with mirage by reducing light thus increasing depth of field, or something like that, helping mitigate mirage. Just wandering, as I've never used one.

Barry. I did use the disc that came with it. Been using those discs with all my fixed power Marches that I own. Don't use them for my 3 variable power Marches because I just turn the power down if there is too much mirage. Those discs help a little. I'm just not overly impressed with the scope.

Barry, Yes it was, that is the 3rd. barrel to shoot that small. the other two are 8 twist and 105 and 103's this is a 12 twist and 80 gr. bullets I fire formed 5 in a 1/4 min. They are easy to tune........ Jim

My first outing with the 48 power HM. and it is a keeper bright and the eye box is way less critical. Shot my smallest group ever .020 and backed it up with an .054. It isn't for sale......... Jim
Bring that bad boy to Williamsport. Haven't seen you in awhile. At least for the World Open. Bring your buddy along. Matt

A follow up on the 48 power HM. it is shootable in the mornings, it is a lot brighter than scopes before. My range is half in the woods and I never get light till mid day. The HM lets shoot at 0900 without issues... Jim

I'm interested in purchasing the High Master for F class. Nightforce dominates where I am but I tend not to follow the crowd. Watching this thread with interest.

Had a look through a High Master at an F match this weekend .
Best glass I have ever had the pleasure to use , and I've used everything
currently on the market .

The owner had run a box test , and tall target test and commented that
the tracking and return to zero was flawless as well . This was on a 300 WSM . Great glass is nice , but perfect , reliable tracking and ability to
hold zero is what really floats my boat .
