march 2.5-25x42 advice

I have a LTR 308 and I want a tarrget and hunting scope so I want to have low light ability for when the big ones come out. I am about to purchase the March with a plex reticle but am sonceerned that I won't be able to see the reticle in low light. The lighted reticle verson in $2700 coompared to $1900 for the unlighted version. If someone owning a March could give me advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Before I would spend the money for a lighted reticle March, I would probably buy a Razor or Nightforce. The problem is the NF and Razor are so much heavier. I would love to get Viper PST as it is cheaper and lighter but it is new and I don't think the glass will appease me. This is my first high end scope and I want to make a good call. Thanks in advance from any March owners that can advise me. PS, they make a really neat MOA reticle but once again, I think it would be hard to see in low light without the expensive lighting module.

Nightforces are really good. They all have lighted reticles so they should be very visible in low light. They are also available with 56mm objectives which should be good in low light. I just recently ordered a 5.5-22x56 NXS for a long range hunting rifle. This was my answer to the same desires you seem to have.Hope it helps.

I own a 2.5-25x42 with the MOA reticle. As for low light ability, I guess it depends on your definition. I am able to view through the scope and see the reticle through all shooting hours without difficulty (WA, UT, WY). Personally, I think illuminated reticles are pointless for hunting, at least where shooting hours end before full dark, but that's just me. YMMV.

I would love to have a 2.5x25x March with the hunting retlcle. A Bud has one with the fine crosshairs and it is useless for most hunting. The scope is wonderful if you have the right reticle.

March only do the illuminated in their MOA ret MTR 1 & 2 you can have lo intensity and high intensity specified when ordering, also you can change the module if you decide you want something different.
The 2.5x25 tactical is a great scope, so compact but with all the features of the bigger and heavier competition.
You can check out the reticles on the Kelbly site, they are expensive but you do get what you pay for.

I have the tactical version and the hunting version both in the plex reticules, and for last light shooting I have no problem with them, and I have scew on camera filters to protect the glass on both the lenses, and I still see clear whether it for F-Class shooting 1000yards or hunting last light in cloudy conditions, and I'm sure those lenses take away some of the clarity of the scopes lenses but still crystal clear! For what this scope has to offer it can't be beat for a hunting gun setup! Very versatile.
