Sloughhouse BR Shooters held our 2nd Chabot Special of the year at the Sac Valley Shooting Center.
This is our most popular match format and attracts shooters from multiple venues.
We shoot 4 3-bull targets at 200 yards for both group & score. X's are 11 so 165 possible per Agg and the groups are actual measurement not broken back to MOA.
The 10 shooters who showed up were greeted by mild temps starting in the high 40's and warming up throughout the morning hitting the low 70's by the time we wrapped up @ noon.
Winds were mild for the Ione Triangle, mostly a head wind switching from 11:00 to 1:00, just enough to catch you if you weren't on point!
Target 1:
Score had Alex Holman come down the hill from the HP Range to win with a nice 155 score, beating out another HP shooter Lane Buxton who had 153 for 2nd, Francis Lee 3rd at 152.
Group had Jeff Rodriguez steering that hot 30BR to a nice .486 Agg for 1st, I was 2nd shooting my vintage Teddy in 30BR at .629, Francis 3rd with a .655 shooting what else (?) a 30 BR.
Target 2:
Score was taken by Lane (favor center) Buxton with a smoking 158, beating my 155 for 2nd, Bill Costanza finishing 3rd on the tiebreaker (Group Agg) with a 153.
I took 1st in Group with a nice .447 Agg (Small Agg of the Match), Lane took 2nd with a .520, Roy Luchini steering his 30 BR to a 3rd place .719 agg.
Target 3: Conditions started picking up a bit as the morning wore on, but still relatively mild.
Score had Jeff throwing down a smooth 160 (High Score of the match), easily outscoring Lane's 157,
I was a distant 3rd at 154.
Group had Jeff pulling the double by taking 1st in Group with a .588, Steve Raeder taking 2nd at .614,
just sneaking by my .617 for 3rd.
Target 4: Now it's acting a little more switchy and easy to get caught if you weren't careful. Enough reverses to cause some bad words on the line!
Score was Lane 1st again at 157, with Shawn Davison waking up to take 2nd with a 155, Bill also with a 155 for 3rd on the tiebreak.
Group had Shawn taking 1st with a nice .556 Agg, beating out Bill's .662 for 2nd, Lane just nudging me out of 3rd with a .697.

we have a group match scheduled, but the consensus seems to be for another Chabot. More to follow.
