Manner's Stocks

It's been over a year since ordering a stock from Manners Composite Stocks. I have been told repeatedly the stock would be ready in a week or so, the last time by Tom Manners himself. I have tried to contact them for the past two weeks and only get a recording when I answer. Messages have been left requesting a call back but have not been answered. Has anyone contacted Manners lately? Am I the only guy who cannot reach them?

BTW, the stock is nothing exotic, a sporter for a Dakota M76. Original delivery estimate was 6 months on December 2014. I'd cancel the order but Manners has the barreled action.

I don't think they are that far off depending on what day you ordered it. Tom will get her down and probably get it to you by the end of the month. It will be more than worth the wait ,I promise you that.

I have 2 Manners Stocks one was delivered on time. One was early. I've had a great experience with their customer service.

They are had to deal with sometimes... but totally worth the wait... sometimes they are hard to get ahold of... everyone else is calling asking wtf just like your doing too... i wish they would speed their turn around up... but as with all quality gun part makers they are all slammed with business...

Tom is a good dude and runs a great shop. The reason he wanted your barreled action is so he could get the inlet perfect. Hang in there it will be worth it.

I bought a Manners T2 and also sent my barreled action to be inletted.

They do a fantastic job but could be better at managing expectations. I was told it would be about a month from when they received the barreled action to when I could expect it back. 5 weeks after the barreled action was delivered to them I called to check and was told it would be another two weeks or so. After another two weeks I called again and was told it would be another two weeks, in the end it took about 2.5 months if I recall correctly.

If I would have been much better to have been told 2.5 months from the outset.

Other than that snag, it is a great company with a great product and everyone I talked to at Manners were very nice and friendly. I am very happy with the stock and they did a great job with the inletting and bedding. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

I think you will be very happy with the stock when you receive it.
