Looks good. With the hideous weather all over the country, we are thankful to have avoided it. Weather is yo yo'ing from the 80's and down to the mid 60's seemingly each day. For those of you driving through misery right now, tomorrow, Thursday, is the best practice day. There is rain in the forecast Friday and that afternoon we have to set up the line, all the covered ares and more. Best to practice Thursday then to wait until Friday morning. We understand if you have trouble, delays or just can't make it. Your safety with travel is most important.
Both Saturday and Sunday seem windy with a cool Saturday in the 60's and then up into the higher 70's Sunday. Both days are sunny and bright, making for some fun and challenging shooting. Turnout is great. Lots of IBS points available and, as Bart told me yesterday, a good opportunity to "jumpstart" your IBS points program.
From a grab bag to prizes, this Florida Shooter of the Year program promotes winners. $100 for smallest group. $100 for highest single target score (size breaks ties) and then there are the awards and prizes. Alex Wheeler has offered a discount build, optics, shooting equipment, bullets, primers, gunsmithing, clothing and many, many related supplies will fill the table and make everyone a winner that participates. Banner being made today with names of the donors for all to see and patronize. Add on the major award trophies, dinner, lunch and IBS awards to the experience of all the shooters for a memorable time by all.
Who will be Florida State Shooter of the Year and take home the big trophy plus more? The past two years it has been the IBS Champions that have taken the award. Let's see what happens this year.
I will do my best to keep you informed.
