Managed Recoil 20 Gauge Slugs?

Anyone know of a managed or reduced recoil 20 gauge slug? Have a niece that wants to start shooting/hunting with us but is pretty recoil sensative. We have a 20 gauge slug gun with a rifled barrel that shoots pretty much anything pretty well, would like to find something she can use that doesn't kick too hard. I've heard of managed recoil slug ammo but haven't actually seen any available. Thoughts?

Is she sensitive to the "ouch" or the "push"? Reason I ask is that I've found that it's easier to teach a new shooter who is "ouch" sensitive because I can always find enough padding (sometimes using a bath towel folded several times and draping it over the should under a jacket) to alleviate that issue. The push sensitivity takes a lot more time and patience.
As for managed recoil ammo, I know that Remington makes some rifle ammo in that category and I believe that a company called Noble Sport makes managed recoil shotgun ammo.

That's a good question and I don't mean to be difficult but I think it's a little of both.

Right now she is deadly with a .22, can shoot a .243 well but doesn't like my 7mm-08 hunter.

She isn't tiny, about 5'6" 120ish?? just doesn't like the shotgun.

She has been along on a few hunts and wants to actually hunt herself so we're trying to find something that works for her. We live in IA so we have muzzleloader (no interest) and shotgun until the antlerless season in Jan which allows centerfires.

The most realistic scenario is shotgun season. We have the Mossberg 500 that my wife uses, it has a rifled barrel and is pretty accurate, has put lots of meat in the freezer. My wife shoots it just fine but even with a sissy pad and a jacket the niece is a little uncomfortable with it.

Timing being what it is this season is probably out unless we get really fortunate in the next couple of weeks finding some ammo that works for her. If it isn't this year but next that's fine as long as we can find some reduced loads.

The other idea we've been kicking around is handloading. We reload for everything else so it wouldn't be a huge jump, anyone have experience with this?

heres an idea i have used. it requires another gun but we can all use another gun..lol. i start kids off with a .410 bird shot with full choke at 20yards. basically shoots tight enough it acts like a slug. then when the hunt comes switch them over to the 20 gauge with slug. if they are shooting at a deer they will never notice the recoil. kids seem to be more recoil sensitive during target practice. thats why i like for them to practice with the .410. kids also seem to be able to switch from one firearm to another and handle all of them well. they can adapt so much easier than adults do when switching firearms. i think its cause they are so focused on the animal they dont realize the change in recoil or the firearm

Google managed recoil slugs. Gander mountain shows remington managed recoil buckhammer slugs in 20 gauge. Part# 415525
