It is something new that they are offering , you need to look it up on their website for a better explanation . The short version is, is that it is a border wars for the 22 long rifle

Richard I spoke with the guys at Central Texas Rifle & Pistol Club Joel Brown is the guy running smallbore now..Mainly they shoot 3P and talked with him a little about smallbore F-class. He said he was going ask around to if anyone wanted to shoot it.

I've probably shot at 50+ ranges all over the country and the ARA RFBR range at Central Texas Rifle & Pistol Club would be in the top 10 or top 5 ranges I've competed at. Great benches, great covered firing line, and well run by Fran Barletta the MD.

Its a 120 shot match plus sighters. I usally shoot 160 to 170 rounds. You can shoot a single shot or repeater. We shoot prone but there are some benches. Its a fun match so the rules are flexable. We have some shooters that have trouble shooting prone they have neck or back issues. So they use a bench. You can use a bipod and bag or a frount rest and bag. If you want ill send you my number and answer all questios i can

Its in Davis Ok. we shoot at 9 am the first Saturday every month. Its a 22 longrifle prone match. But several of us shoot F/Class

Are you familiar with Smallbore Conventional Prone discipline ? That is the match they are shooting plus they have F Class smallbore at the same time.
The Southern Oklahoma Sportsman Club is holding a match Saturday morning. Sign in starts at 8 am.
southernoksportsmanclug.org is there site with range address. About half way between Texas and OK City.

Mule, sorry I didn't realize who was asking.
You can shoot your steel gun of a bi-pod in F/TR class. You will have to single load each shot. You will be shooting 5 shot groups at 50 yards and 10 shot groups at 100 yards from the prone position. Rear bag is allowed.
I don't know about brakes.

You dont have to single load. You can use a mag if you want to. Its a match to have fun shooting. We have guys shoot with 1022s that use mags. as long as its a 22lr you can shoot it

I know this is an old thread, but ...
Dallas 'Pistol' Club at Beltline & Luna Rd just off GBT (north of DFW airport) has a 50 yard 22 LR std vel match. Right now we have 10 positions and run three consecutive heats for a total of 30 shooters.
July 6th is the next match. Next month we will have 12 new rock solid concrete shooting benches, so 36 shooters. We're looking at 100 yard matches soon.
