making bullets

I'm looking for tools to make my own bullets, I seen a tool kit that used 22 cases for the outer shell the tool was made in Oregan I need help finding the name of the company. Thanks

itam1198: There was an article about making jacketed 22 cal. centerfire bullets, using empty 22 long rifle brass in "Handloader" magazine several years ago. The consensus was that they are cheaper than factory jacketed bullets, but accuracy left a lot to be desired: more in the category of informal plinking type bullets. If I were looking for bullets, to just shoot, I'd favor the bulk bullets sold by Midway, MidSouth, etc. The bulk bullets cost around .08 each/ doubt if you could make them that cheap by the time you bought the dies, lead core, etc., and while not match quality, they would be more accurate than the "homemade".

RCE also makes a 22 RF die set. I've made and shot plenty of 22 RF jacketed bullets. They're fine for your 22 Hornet or 223 velocities but you're not going to get the consistent accuracy of Sierra or J4 jackets. RF jackets are sort of a PITA to do right, which is why they get bad reviews: most guys don't take the time to clean them completely before de-rimming, and then annealing and cleaning before starting the bulletmaking process. The other issue is variation in thickness and length. both of which cause problems. I have all the gear to do RF jackets right and mine fly well enough, but the process is time consuming. The yield of consistent jackets is small. Think long and hard before you go down that path.
