Making 7 PRC Brass

No apologies necessary. Back when the 300 & 338 Accuracy International was pitched to the military the tag line was 80% of the performance of a 338 Lapua at 60% of the cost. I would have a 338/375 if I didn't already have a 338 based on the 8X68S case. I still have several dies sets on the shelf marked 338-375 Ruger and 300-375 Ruger.

Wonder how long it'll take before someone specs a "improved" reamer creating a 7PRC-improved variant. The case appears to be fairly straight with not a great deal of taper to it so I don't imagine there would be any big case capacity gain but it does have a decent neck length so pushing the shoulder forward and squaring it off to a 35° or 40° it wouldn't surprise me if it pushed case capacity up to around, maybe, 90gr H2O. That's about what I always guesstimated the 7mm Blaser would be if it was AI'd and the 7PRC is nearly identical to that case.

For an all around hunting cartridge that'll have some pretty long legs, hit with authority, good factory ammo, and at a reasonable recoil level for all shooters, IMO, this new 7 PRC is going to be a win win and I look for it to be very popular among a very wide range of shooters.

I have a trued LA Rem 700 that's been sitting on the shelf waiting to be built into something that's going to get a new 22in 8.5tw .284 barrel that will be a 7PRC I'm having built for my daughter.

Just neck down the 300 PRC and keep the reloading dies simple.
