Maker Rex

I'm just concerned about jaming that blunt bullet into the rifling. That's why I kept the COAL short.
That bullet is basically a bore rider. Dual diameter with a tapered step from .300-.308”. It’s impossible to jam the nose in the rifling due to the diameter. What will hit the lands is the step. I would have to check notes, I’m almost positive it can be loaded to 2.260” . Look at the bullet I posted in the above photo, you can see exactly where the bullet contacts the lands.

That big round nose helps it feed around the corners of an M4 feed ramp. Don’t worry about that bullet feeding.

I think I perfected my load last night. Reloading data for 300 Blackout, DDM4-PDW, 7 inch barrel, 1 in 7 twist, Silver Buffer Spring, Scythe Ti Suppressor, 200 grain Maker REX, 8.9 grains of N110, CCi 450 primers, Case volume is 23.4 grains of H2o COAL 2.130. - This gave me a five shot string (as measured by my Magneto Speed,) of 1088 (First Round Pop,) 1054, 1059, 1059, 1064...with a Standard Deviation of 13. And it cycled and locked back reliably. This will be my Whitetail load for next year.
