Make your own Reactive targets

Has anyone here ever made their own paper reactive targets? These targets are getting expensive and I found this template kit that looks interesting. Looks like it can be used for steels too. Has anyone tried this or other method and how easy was it?

I spray painted cardboard with flo green survey paint and put packaging tape over that and sprayed gloss black and it worked great!
