Bought my wife a youth model marlin xs7 last YR to deer hunt with.
Shooting handloads. Berger 175vld it surprisingly shoots 3/4 in groups, Not to shabby.
But as an accuracy nut I want more, I like stalking with it cause it's so dang light.
Question,,can I purchase a prefit barrell such as savage or what fits this little thing?
It has a NUT like savages do. Any help?
Not gonna put a 350.00Kreiger on a 300.00 GUN, just not worth,it.

Search for a thread I started a few weeks ago on fitting savage barrels to Remington 783s. There was some good info about barreling the marlin in it. That said I don't think there are any dropin barrels available for much less than 300.00.

Ok I sure will,
I have/ can find take offs but not sure which one I need that will fit.

I put a Rock Creek 6mm barrel on a Marlin X7 3 years ago. Chambered it in 6 Dasher and it is the most accurate sporter rifle I have ever owned or seen in these parts. It's not pretty, but the coyotes are dying. Barlow
