Magnum primers for w231 powder in 38special.

I can't find standard small pistol primers. Have small pistol magnum . Any advice on using them with 5 grains or w231 in 38 special. They will be used in a Ruger black hawk or an uberti 73 clone.

I have found no difference when using my powders, but I do not use W231 for 38 special. I would knock the charge down a tenth or two if you are concerned, but I doubt you will experience any meaningful change.

My experience is with lightened and tuned triggers in S&W revos which needed fed100s to ignite reliably, but I would make sure your guns will set them off before loading too many.
