I've read somewhere about protecting the bayonet from muzzle blast. For those who do this, what have you found that works with out effecting results.
Thanks Bill

The only 'protection' I give the bayonet on my Magnetospeed is to make double-certain it's out of the way of the bullet's path. Other than that, strap it on and go forth and measure velocity.

Bbear nailed it....never assume the bayonet is below the bullet path! Check every time!

There are risks that even the best rubber can't protect you from.

size 'Super Small' condoms..... just make sure you send a friend in to buy them......

Super small? You wish your pee pee needed a super small condom 12" long!
And as said above, make double damn sure the bayonet is below the bore.

The newer ones have a metal shield attached to the aft end. The old ones without it could get a tad scorched. As others have posted, strap on tight and shoot.
