maglight upgrade

I feel like I discovered fire. I have some of the older 3 or 4 cell maglights, the pretty heavy ones. This weekend I upgraded to LED. Holy Cow. I know some of you guys are just like me. Walk don't run to your hardware store etc. Night and day. I have a 6 volt in my GF's car I am going to upgrade. I am only about 15 years late to the party! The one I got was just a screw in. I have seen articles and videos where it seems to be a bigger deal. Maglight has upgrade bulbs on their website. I got mine at home depot. Great to give new life to old high end flashlight. Cheers.

they are great! Battery life is greatly extended as well as being brighter.

I agree, the LED conversion bulb for the Maglight is a big improvement over the incandescent bulb.

I have been wanting a good LED flashlight and bought this one off MAC bid for 1/2 price. Its crazy bright

Those HID lights I posted were from 2010.
Made a few and they were impressive.
Advertised as 50 watt HID but 35 to 40 watts to the bulb.

Wide beam with a Fog Light housing.



A LED flashlight is the way to go.
You might need to use the China to U.S. lumen conversion.
Like a 900,000,000 Lumen light for around $20

Lumen Craft has direct led swapout bulbs for the Maglite. I also switched from Alkiline to Lithium. One lithium(4.2vDC) and a spacer in a 2d and 2 lithiums(8.2vDC) in a 3d. Go by voltage if you go do the lithium switchover.
