Mike Bryant has figured out a way to convert a Rem 700 .308 magazine to mag-feed 6BR. Here's the page with 6 photos and Mike's commentary: http://www.6mmbr.com/Rem700magfix.html

And here is the finished conversion. Basically it's a .308 mag, fitted with a .223 block in the rear with a shortened .308 follower and a .223 spring.
