Mack Bros EVO II Rem 700 Stock Fitment

^^^ with a 90° bolt release the Magpul will need a small amount of clearance added. Doubtful that there would be any bolt handle issues with the large square opening.

The only hiccup I see with the Bravo from fitting is the front of the trigger hanger. They have a bolt up front for the trigger guard. That might be an issue. The rear of the block is cut very close to the rear action screw so I’d bet a hanger fits there. Everything else would be fine. The show line on that stock is below any bolt release and port plus a large square handle cut. The barrel channel will fit a cylinder barrel so just about anything with a standard OD fits. BAT shown for example.

Thank you for all of the helpful information. I am taking the easy route and calling Mack Bros tomorrow and ask them what stocks work. By now, I would imagine they know.

Same pics I posted on other forum for you. Just adding here to help others

I have a KRG Bravo stock and it‘s ok. Last few years or so I built up 3 pre fits and used a grayboe, mpa hybrid chassis and an ag composites stock. The grayboe is good but not quite stiff enough IMO. The Mpa is pretty awesome but heavy. the AG composites stock (I did the Alpine Hunter) is my favorite and I will probably use them exclusively going forward.

I made some calls today and it's between the KRG and MDT. They have a similar profile to the Magpul Hunter, which I love.

Good to have all this info going into a build. Will be using a Mack Bros EVO II stainless short action. Got a 1 in eight twist 7mm Bartlein barrel (that I tore off of a .284 Win and has only 35 rounds through it) at LRI right now for chambering and installation on the Mack Bros action (the two operations are next door neighbors in Sturgis, I think--- not to mention that LRI has done work for me on several rifles in the past and I was always VERY satisfied with their work) Trigger is going to be a two stage Timney Calvin Elite (since I like them and for consistency across several rifles). I'm kinda up in the air right now about what stock to use but am leaning toward one of the stocks that HS produced for Remington (I have a couple of those lying around my shop that were opened up for a "chubbier" barrel and thicker than stock recoil lug somewhere along the line and I think they were contract built for Remington. I do have a Kestros R lying around in the shop, but it is for a long action :( . Caliber is going to be a 7mm-08 just for the fun of it as this isn't intended to be a "serious" build and I won't be shooting it at anything beyond probably 900 or 1000 yards. I'm waffling on the scope, but leaning toward a Vortex 5-25 PST with a MOA reticle, but still might use a Leupold FX-3 30x40mm with a 3/8 dot in it which is also just lying around in my shop, but I did really like that scope back in the days when I was shooting metallic silhouette with it. I'm hoping this is going to be a fun way to use up miscellaneous stuff I have been tripping over in my shop!
