Machinists Please Step Inside.

Is there a machinist here that would be willing to make me a set of 30mm scope alignment bars similar to what Kokopelli used to sell? If so, please send me a PM to discuss.

The specs would be as follows:

Diameter: 30mm
Length: 5.5"
Material: TBD (6061 or 7075)

What are you trying to accomplish? A set of Burris Signature rings may be a cheaper / easier solution to scope alignment.
What the Kokopelli alignment bars were designed to do.

Thanks for the tip on the Burris Signature rings.

This is what I made for myself like 30 years ago.
1 Inch on one side / 30mm on the other. That way it serves dual purpose for 2 sizes of rings

I can make some out of Alum.
Let me know if interested

I'd get this: https://www.mcmaster.com/88625K89/

and turn points on two pieces.
I initially made myself a set with tapered points
Then quickly realized, "Hey wait a second? The rings can be twisted and still have the points line up"

So if the rings are mis aligned by a degree it will be too hard to tell unless running a straight edge along both bars
which only complicates things more and is difficult to run a straight edge along the bars with the rings in the way.

I think the best idea is when parting the ends, to Leave a small tit in the center to be able to align the centers but also have a small window between the flat ends to be able to see if either end is off.

This is why I asked for flat-faced/squared faces.
