So what makes custom actions and ones like sako so smooth ? And have such a easy smooth bolt lift ? I have a tikka t3 its like silk, is there much i can doo to a REM 700 to help it out ?

Sure, but I don't think it is worth the expense.

I agree. If you put money into an off the shelf action, when you are done you have an expensive off the shelf action.

Lapping some of the working contact surfaces is an easy fix but it has limited affect. Like the others said if you want it really smooth you need a gunsmith who knows his stuff and that cost $$$.
