I would like to ask if any one has any experience with a M77/22magnum, What can be done to improve accuracy. I just installed a Jard 1lb trigger and would like the screwssetting it is a weather warrior like to know how tight to torqe the stock Thank You RW

RW,

If it was my rifle I would Torque to 30 in. lbs .

Stand the rifle vertically with the barreled action resting into the stock. tighten the front screw first just a little snug to insure the barreled action is pulled back into the stock, then tighten the rear to about the same snugness. Then move back to the front action screw and torque to 30 in lbs, then move to the rear and torque to 30 in lbs.

The Accuracy with 22 Mag's and 17 Hmr's is at the mercy to how good the Ammo is. I would think the Ammo should be able to shoot 1- 1 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards. Some manufactures / lots of ammo is going to be getter than others. 22mags, & 17HMRs are great Varmint calibers.
