m16 extractor and Rem.788

Anyone know of a 'smith that would put an m16 or sako type extractor in a 788 bolt? Should be similar to a 700. We are in MT. the closer the better, however shipping a bolt shouldn't be a big deal. Mark

I've put Sako extractors in 788's. They actually make a better candidate for the conversion than the 700, or others because there is no bolt lug race way for the extractor to escape down and toward the shooter in the event of a catostrophic failure. Lots of smiths won't install them in most actions for this reason. It doesn't apply to the 788 with it's rear locking lugs.
