In basic training, prior to getting shipped off to Korea in early '52...I has an M1 with an apparent sear problem. I fired one and the other seven followed like I was using a BAR. Caught everyones attention, ) especially one of the" D.I's". He said. let me have that ! He installed another clip and same thing happened. It was good for a laugh. It went back to the "smiths", and they gave me another.Been a Garand Collector since 99. Shot my first Garand Clinic at Ft. Knox, Scott Mountain KD Range, in 1988 with my Dad. He is US Army Retired, 19Kilo Heavy Armor 26 yrs and a Vietnam Vet. My Grandfather was a WWII Vet, and they both carried the Garand at some point in their Service.
